Amazing Rootbeer Float. Best vanilla ice cream I've had. I tried my boyfriends vanilla and chocolate twist, ohhhh wow. The chocolate tasted like smooth chocolate milk. So amazing.
Didn't like the area but what do I know. I'm just an out of town visitor. I'll definitely be back for another float.
So this ice cream shop is located right on the corner in front of a laundromat and a car was that is also owned by Denny's. There is a great selection of ice cream, sherbet, sundaes, soft serve and floats. People of all ages were there just enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon. I had a double scoop in a crispy waffle cone. One death by chocolate and the other was banana cream pie. 🍦 🍨 It was a dream. The flavors were spot 👌 and so rich and creamy. That 🍌 cream pie was extra special with the crunch graham texture - I was not disappointed.
Blue Moon or Orange Twist you won’t be disappointed!
Used to be a favorite haunt would get milkshakes and watch the sunset at dobbins landing , it is wheelchair Accesible , family friendly staple for ice cream yogurt and sherbet . I doubt it has Wi-Fi access unless it’s thru the co located Dennys laundromat and car wash business . I will have to check . Being I can no longer drive a vehicle for health reasons it put an end to sunset milkshakes .I checked today and in fact it is a quantella free Wi-Fi zone at all of Dennys business there .
Terrible terrible terrible! I went and waited a long while, the workers were very slow and sluggish like they didn’t care. Once I had gotten an employee to take my order he gave me attitude and cursed in-front of me. He lacked manners, there was also loud music playing in the back and it smelt like cigarettes and pot all around. When I received my order, it was melted. I had ordered a strawberry sundae as well and the strawberry’s on the sundae looked old, like they were token out of a can and placed right on top of the vanilla ice cream. Adding on to that, it’s really pricey for the trash you get. Never going again.
I hope management or the owner reads these. As today August 7th at4:55, I ordered a Giant strawberry sundae with whipped cream a cherry and some cherry hard-dip on top. A new person was taking my order, whatever didn't know what cup to use. So he ask the "manager" she looked like a junior in highschool but at least she is working. I don't know if you have been there, but they have 4 cup sizes. Small medium larger and a bigger then large giant. She told him to use the large cup?? I'm confused as I paid for a giant. So I asked to speak to her and she told me that don't use the giant they only add extra strawberry. Now I go there a lot and it's the first time I got my sundae in a large cup and I told her this. She said well they made it wrong. I can put it in the giant cup but I'll give you less ice cream. That came out of her mouth. I think we should go back to treating customers with respect and dignity. Try having an adult present to handle certain situations, so I will never get a giant when she is working, I will take me my 7kids and 10 grandchildren somewhere y. Please refrain employees to have respect to customer.
Always great ice cream. My family lives outside of Chicago, but we always come to get I've cream at least once every summer when we are in town visiting my extended family.
We love that the place is always busy with all kinds of people juthere for the ice cream.
The employees are always very nice, hard working, and respectful.
This place is super sketchy. We visited during a vacation in Erie. In five minutes I smelled pot, cigars, and cigarettes - and I couldn't tell if the pot was coming from outside or inside the place. The employees had gangster rap playing inside the facility and the staff weren't friendly. While the ice cream was decent, somehow they "glued" the drop guard to the waffle cone - I couldn't eat the cone entirely. Plus, while we were sitting on the only two benches there, the employee told us he was going to turn the overhead lights off on us (and did) - why? He could have kept them on til we left. Also, this place should have an office on-site due to the abundance of shady characters passing by. Would not recommend families visit, especially not at night. Would not come back again.
